We've identified the reason that at least some Windows users are having activation issues with the recently released RCs of our products. It seems the installer fails to properly identify and update an older 'eSellerateEngine.dll' file which is required to activate with eSellerates Activation Server. We will have an updated installer soon but those people who need to get up and running now (and if you feel comformatble updating the .dll file) we'll post the correct and current .dll file for user replacement.
Download and unzip the current 'eSellerateEngine.dll' version 3.6.2 and replace the older version that is at: bootdrive/WINDOWS (this is your boot drive letter and inside the WINDOWS folder-it should be loose in the folder). When you get a prompt whether or not you wish to replace the old file with the new file, say yes. Quit and relaunch Photoshop and with an RGB image open navigate to File-Automate and select one of your products. This time clicking on Activate should launch the Activation successfully (if you are net connected) or pop the manual Activation window for no-net connected machines. Please see the RC Download Page for more info and to download the updated .dll file. Sorry for the confusion and troubles...we'll be updating the RC installers ASAP.

Jeff,
Followed the eSellerate file replacement with no luck. I get the reply, "Unable to Acitvate. Serial Number was Returned". I had no problem with the PK Color install. |

Jeff, if the updated dll is on the page you refer to then I am blind. I cannot find it anywhere and I just purchased the PK sharpner. It was working on trial but now it cannot be activated. Help.

Hi there,
just a small note - I ran into the same problem and found the new DLL myself - the 1.2.6 package still comes with the old DLL... I took me more or less a day to place my order for the PCS - most of the infos on your website are old - they claim support for CS2 but not for CS3 (only on the update page you finde this hint) and I'm working on a cross plattform system (windoze laptop, Mac desktop) and it took a while until I found the hint that the serials are now cross plattform... I know - time... but maybe you lost some customers because of the outdated infos on your website. Best regards, Detlef, Cologne, Germany P.S.: Great tool! |
