I'm preparing real estate photos for an unenlightened local newsprint publication. As they can't describe their printing process (let alone supply me with a printer profile), I'm trying to prepare the files as best I can.

It's a color printing process applied to newsprint. I'm currently planning on converting to ColorMatch, setting resolution to 300ppi, and applying Contone 300 output sharpening.

Sound reasonable?

If they print using a traditional printing method (offset litho, etc.) the Halftone Output Sharpener would probably be best. How did you decide on using Contone 300 output sharpener?

Mike--

I didn't have any compelling reason to select Contone. I'll use Halftone instead. Thanks.
