View Full Version : Sticky Settings Lost?

I recently "side-graded" PK Sharpener from Windows to Mac, and my prior session settings no longer appear to be sticky.

For example, for any new PS CS2 session Capture Sharpener comes up initially with 35 Pos. Film/Superfine Edge Sharpening. This is not a setting I ever use, but comes up as if it were a default setting.

In Creative Sharpening, the brush size is always changed to 300 pixels at the conclusion of the automation. I hadn't noticed this in the Windows version, and would typically prefer to work with a smalller brush for sharpening. Is there some way I can avoid having to change it every time?

Similarly, Output Sharpening always defaults to Contone 80 for any new PS CS2 session.

Have I screwed up something? Thanks in advance.

Run Disk Utilities> Fix Permissions

Also, when you installed PhotoKit Sharpener were you logged in as a user with Admin permisssions?

I've Repaired Permissions, but I continue to get the same strange behaviors described in my original post. PK Sharpener was installed from the only user account on this machine, which has admin privileges. I've just re-installed PK Sharpen 1.2.3 and have the same issues.
What should I try next?

Thanks, Stephen

Mike--

Is there some Pref. file related to PK Sharpener that I could delete/rebuild? Any other suggestions on how to debug my weirdly behaving installation would be greatly appreciated.

Stephen,
Are you calling up PKS through the automate menu or via an action? If the former, try recording an action incorporating your desired configuration and see if that setting sticks on subsequent calls of the action.
