program error

Since I updated to cs2 I get occasionally a "program error message" when I try to use either photokit or ph.kit co,or sharpener. most of the time it runs well. What could be causing this? It is very annoying!

We'd need more details, including platform, OS version, Photoshop version, the specific PhotoKit routines, and the exact text of the error message, but it sounds like a Photoshop problem rather than something that we're doing specifically.

PSCS2/XPpro. I did some testing and all three Photokit softwares work well on my files (nef) if they are processed the old way in bridge or PS. Whenever I process nef files in Dr Brown place a matic and merge them, I cannot use any photokit products and I get "cannot process file due to program error" message. Very frustrating since I love placeamatic. Any help appreciated.

The bottom layer must be a true "Background" layer. . .unless you flatten or use the Layer>New>Background form layer command in the layers palette, you you won't be able to run any of our products. . .it's in the various manuals and user guides.
