I have read the previous threads, but they don't uprez as far as I plan to go.
I will be printing to a Chromira at 30" x 45" final size from a Rebel XT raw file converted with C1. (The viewing distance will be 8 feet minimum)
The suggested input file resolution for the printer is 300ppi, which is obviously way beyond "real" data.
I like to use Qimage pyramid interpolation to rez-up images.
It seems to me the least artifacts would be generated by uprezzing the unsharpened raw conversion to final size, then doing all sharpening? Of course, PKS was never designed to work on such "expanded" images.
What would be the the best comprimise? I experimented with PKS sharpening on the native size image, then uprez to final size and it's "blockier" than I think can be achieved with a better workflow.
