Inconsistent results with capture sharpener

I have been using Photokit Sharpener for a couple of months now and for the most part am very pleased both with the results and the amount of control it gives.

However I have been getting some inconsistent results with the capture sharpener.

The attached images should show what is happening. Image 1 is the original, Image 2 the unsharpened at 100% and Image 3 greater than 100% with HRDC XM

I should make it clear that this by no means applies to all images. Some are just fine but occasionally in part of the image I get the effect you can see in the attached images. By comparison applying USM at 300% - 0.3 - 0 is very very much better with none of this effect.

Does anyone have any insight into this?

Try Narrow Edge Width, or even SuperFine, for an image like this.
