Do the Pixel Genius folks have any comments or comparisons/recommendations on the use of Smart Sharpen as a capture sharpener?

I'm finding that with my raw files from Kodak Pro Back 645M that the Smart Sharpener seems to do an excellent job for the capture sharpen stage of my workflow and produces cleaner files to my eye. PK capture sharpener high-res works well for my images but often leaves a lot of visible black speckled pixels in my base images that I use for re-purposing. (narrow edge in particular). The Smart Sharpener seems to do a fine job with cleaning up my captures without degrading the base image as much - in my opinion at least it seems to sharpen as well without the 'noise'. I realise that it's down to final print to determine the effect of the sharpening but the artifacts degrade my base image too much such that I can't afford to flatten capture sharpening layers with my corrected base image.

Do you see any problem with combining the Smart Sharpen for capture with the creative and output sharpeners? The results look ok in prints to me but it would be helpful to understand if there were any incompatibilities that might bite me at some point.

Many thanks.
