I just installed PKColor 1.0.2 on XP SP2, over a previous 1.0.0 install. Things seem to work but clicking "Help" on the PKColor screen brings up the following link in my browser

file:///G:%5CProgram%20Files%5CAdobe%5CAdobe%20Photoshop%2 0CS%5CPlug-Ins%5CAdobe%20Photoshop%20Only%5CAutomate%5CPhotoK it%20Color%20Plug-in%20Module%5Cpkc_help%5Cindex.html

On my system, the PKColor help index.html is installed in

G:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS\Plug-Ins\Adobe Photoshop Only\Automate\PhotoKit Color Plug-in Module\pkc_help

If I launch index.html from there, things are fine, with the URL displayed being

file:///G:/Program%20Files/Adobe/Adobe%20Photoshop%20CS/Plug-Ins/Adobe%20Photoshop%20Only/Automate/PhotoKit%20Color%20Plug-in%20Module/pkc_help/index.html

Uninstalling PKColor using Add/Remove Programs, then deleting the folder

G:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS\Plug-Ins\Adobe Photoshop Only\Automate\PhotoKit Color Plug-in Module

and reinstalling yields the same behavior.

I hope this report is helpful.

Dan,

same for me with Firefox 1.0.3 and Opera 8. Only IE6 is able to open the Help URL from Photokit Color. It's no big deal, but a little bit disturbing.

I wonder if what is needed is to replace the "%5C" (the code for "\" or "/"?) with just the intended slash?

Opera and Firefox doesn't translate the %5C (\) the way IE6 does - the %20 is not the problem.

Right: %20 is ok, but the %5C is not. So, maybe they can just use "\" instead, since that seems to work with everything?

We will review this and make a fix if necessary. In the meantime, use the alias that is created on your desktop to access the User Guide.
