I was wondering if the resolution I set in PS Camera RAW has any impact on the usage of Photokit Sharpener. May I set it to the value I like, or does it have any special implication for Photokit Sharpener?

Thanks,
Francesco

We designed the various Capture sharpeners to apply to the camera's native resolution. If you choose a different resolution in ACR, you may want to use a different capture sharpener?e.g., for a 6MP camera, you normally want to use Digital Mid Res. But if you upsample to 11MP or higher in ACR, you'd probably want to use Digital High Res instead.

The rest of the workflow is unaffected.

Sorry, my post was misleading: I wanted to refer to the resolution in terms of pixel per inch; you can set it in PS Camera Raw. For instance, I usually set it to 360 dpi.

The only effect the resolution setting has on the sharpening workflow is that, unless you change it later in Image Size, that will be your output resolution, so your choise of Output Sharpener should be based on that resolution.

Crystal clear. Thanks.
