i'm sure this has been covered...but...

i shoot a job with a EOS 1ds Mark II
i have about 1000 images
i apply camera raw setting in PS CS in bulk to similar images by updating
client or AD edits camera jpgs to 100 selects
i flag them
i use Dr. BROWN'S IMAGE PROCESSOR to convert these to tiffs

NOW

i want to apply PhoKit Capt sharpening in bulk to these heroes

how do I do this automatically??

thanks

You'll need to write an action that calls the appropriate Capture Sharpener (I recommend segregating the TIFFs by edge width and doing a separate action for Narrow, Medium, and Wide -- and SuperFine if you need it.)

Recording the action is very simple. With a suitable image open:

1.) Create new action (which automatically starts recording).

2.) File>Automate>PhotoKit Capture Sharpener. Choose the appropriate sharpener, click OK.

3.) When the Sharpener is done, click the stop button in the Actions palette to stop recording.

Then you can use File>Automate>Batch to call the action you just made and apply it to all the images.

Bruce, I want to make sure I am not missing something here. When you refer to "edge width" are you referring to the desire for narrow, medium or wide sharpening OR is there something about the size of the image that would help one figure out which sharpening option would work best. I am assuming that you mean the sharpening approach but I did not want to miss a new criteria.

Thanks.

Yes, that's all I meant.
