output sharpen for projection

I am attempting to output sharpen D1 markII images for the purpose of projection with a Mitsubishi projector. I use a Mac platform and wish quality to be as close to velvia slides as possible. How do I size and sharpen the images?

A lot depends on how you're driving the projector. If you use an application that resizes and antialiases the image, it's difficult to control the sharpening in a meaningful way.

If you use an app that sends the image pixels to the projector, size the images to the projector resolution (it will almost certainly be either 800 x 600, or 1024 x 768), and apply the corresponding web and multimedia output sharpener.
