When using the supplied PhotoKit Color Action, say using the Cross Processing A4 action, Photoshop prompts for the font Myriad Roman, which is certainly not a standard Windows font. I am forced to use font substitution and have to press OK as many times as there are the number of effects. Is there a way to change the action to use a standard font like Verdana?

See this thread about action fonts (http://forums.pixelgenius.com/showthread.php?t=62)

Thank you Jeff (again). So I guess there is no easy solution...a little frustrating. the action is so useful otherwise!

In browsing through the threads, fonts used in actions get a fair amount of attention. I think the issue is that the installation of the entire creative suite includes fonts which are not part of the installation of the stand-alone applications. Scott Kelby also mentions fonts in his Photoshop books which are not part of the PSCS2 stand-alone installation.

At least I cant find them on the original CD or onmy PC after a full install <g>.

That's right. Recording actions that rely on specific fonts will mean that action will fail unless the specific font is in the users Fonts folder. And this is why we had so many problems creating actions that would universally work for all users on Mac or PC. And also why we are glad to have the preview funtion in Photokit Color 2 and not have to continue down this route.
