1d MK II sharpening

I read that the 1D MK II needs and accepts alot of sharpening. Does anyone have suggestions as to workflow, ie, which creative sharpeners, that would provide the needed sharpening. Is high resolution input sharpening and appropriate output sharpening sufficient or is more sharpening required to maximize the image quality of the 1D.

I'm far from being an expert but I always try to use the digital hi-res capture sharpen. Sometimes, I'm not happy and use the medium-res setting. I also use creative sharpening in the form of sharpening brushes for haze reduction and additional sharpening.

I'm shooting landscape, wildlife, "urban-scape", sports, etc.. I rarely shot portraits, though.

I would glad to hear what experts have to say about the 1DMk2!
