I am prepping a file for newpaper output - the LPI I was given is 100lpi with a 2x factor, for a resolution of 200ppi.

What is the best choice for output sharpening via PKSharpener, as there is no 100/200 choice? Do I choose a step up or a step down?

Is it more important to 'match' the LPI or the PPI in PK Sharpener? For instance I could choose 120LPI/180PPI and be over my LPI but under my PPI *OR* I could choose 133LPI/199.5PPI and be on for my PPI.

Is there a general rule of thumb for making these kinds of decisions?

Thanks

Andy

And another question: If the linescreen of the paper is 85lpi, is it possible/likely that the PPI is 200ppi? Or is that a 'default' answer - and the file should be 170?
