Hi

I have downloaded and installed the (windows) CS3 version of PK Sharpener.

Now, when I open File/Automate in CS3, I get two entries for each of the sharpening modes. One is my old version and the other is (presumably) the new one. When I click on the "old" one it opens correctly. When I open the "new" one, I get a "Photokit Activation" dialogue box, which shows the correct serial number. When I press the Activate button, I get another dialogue box quoting "Unable to Activate. Press the activate buton again to try activating manually". Pressing the Activate button again does nothing.

Can anyone help??

(I have had a look around and my original copy of PK is located in \plugins\automate while the new one is in \plugins\Adobe Photoshop Only\Automate.)

I have the same issue... with all three products. This is rather disappointing. Certainly, very irritating.

Particularly when we have been told that this forum is a "dead letter" box.

To be on the safe side, I've sent my message to the support guys for their comments.

Are you using Windows or Mac?

Safe side? Is there some danger or something dangerous I should be aware of?

We are working on tracking down two issues regarding activation...one is where somebody bought a VERY early version-back when we fisrt released PK Sharpener...that had activation too (but it really sucked so we took it off). Now that eSellerate's activation is better we've re-implemented it but those people who bought early (earler Sept 2003) already had some activations...

There's a separate Win eSellerate issue in that it seems our new installers are not installing the most recent eSellerateEngine.dll. The current version should be version 3.6.5 but some peole are reporting earlier version-we don't know why but we're looking into it.

Can you do a "search" of your boot drive for this file: 'eSellerateEngine.dll' and check the properties to tell us what version it is?

Sorry about this...but that's why we called it an RC (Release Candidate) rather than GM...reving all three products on 3 platforms (Mac now has two-PPC & MacIntel) and working support for Vista-all at the same time isn't as easy as one might expect...

To be accurate it's the community forums that are being closed down...not the product support forums.

My message to the support team has come up trumps!!

They have sent me the "new" .dll file and now the product has activated OK.

I'm not sure if I'm authorised to post the file here, or even if it's possible, so I suggest you contact the support guys and request a copy.

Whoops....just looked at the other activation thread and the PG boys have sorted out a download link for the .dll
