Can anyone tell me how to install my copy of PK Sharpener into CS3? I have it working in CS2.
Thanks

Ken,
What OS are you using?

If you are on CS3 Windows, you can simply copy the entire folders containing the plug-ins from the CS2 Automate folder into the CS3 Automate folder...if you are on Mac, you'll need to download the CS3 beta versions-the final GM should be out soon...from CS3Beta (http://www.pixelgenius.com/CS3BETA.html)

Jeff,
Thanks for the quick response to my inquiry. The installation worked fine.
Also I am in Win XP.

The beta version expires tomorrow. Is a release version still expected before then?
Thanks,
Denny

Hi Jeff,
Even though I downloaded the RC candidates and installed them correctly....
when I try to use my RC plug-ins for Photokit, Photokit Color 2, & PK Sharpener. I get the message...
This beta version of Photokit, Photokit Color 2, or PK Sharpener has expired. Happens every time.
Only the Cancel button of the 4 button choices Purchase, Try, Enter SN, & Cancel choices is clickable.
I updated the e-sellerate engine and re-installed numerous times. This is so frustrating.
What am I doing wrong?
Thanks in advance, and so long for now, TOM

Best bet is to contact Tech Support from the Support button at the top of the page...
If you are getting the beta expired warning, that means you have the expired beta loaded, not the RC...

Hi Jeff,
Tech Support was very prompt and helpful.
There were two things going on.
1) I needed to trash the betas before installing the RC.
2) My original serial number for Sharpener was wrong An O (cap "O") was used instead of a 0 (zero) way back, so I had to trash the prefs.
Thanks, and so long for now, TOM
Hi everebody,
i have been using PK Sharpener for quite a while in PS CS2.
After installing PS CS3 I downloaded the PK Sharpener RC but somehow I'm not able to install it. I#m using a german version of PS3 and in the PS3 folder I have one folder called Plugins with a subfolder called automate (which is empty) and another folder called "Zusatzmodule" (german fpr plugins) with a subfolder called "Automatisieren (german for automate) in which i see other automate actions like HDR ,which came with photoshop.
Neither has a subfolder called "Photoshop only".
I tried both automate-folders during the installation process of PK sharpener but keep getting a message saying: "Error creating folder" and have to quit the installation process.
What am I doing wrong? I would be very grateful, if somebody could point me in the right direction.
PS3 on Mac OSX.9, Mac Pro
Just found the solution myself. Created a subfolder "Photoshop Only" under Plugins and moved "Automate" into that Folder. After that the installation went through but PS wouldn't recognize the Sharperner Plugin. So I had to move the Plugin manually into "Zusatzmodule" (Plugins)/"Automatisieren" (automate).
Now everything wirks fine.
The installer seems to have a problem with the different folder structure of non-english versions of PS (why does PS have a different folder structure in the german version????).

It's now December and the problem with the installer is still there - I'm using the german version of PS3 and had to install a PlugIns/Photoshop Only/Automate/ structure to get the installer running. This only helped (after creating the folders) if I used the automatic search version of the installer. Manually selecting the new "automate" folder didn't work for me.
Seems to me that the development of the PKS has ended a year ago :(
But it is still a great plugin (and a poor installer).
