View Full Version : No PK Color module?

I tried the demo for a couple of days and just purchased the upgrade direct from the PixelGenius shop. Before installing, I thought it was better to trash the demo elements so I went to the Automate folder inside CS 2 and deleted the folder called PK Color Module thinking that it would be replaced by a new version after the install.

The install went smoothly and everything works correctly but I was surprised that there is no PK Color module now visible in the Automate folder. Is it supposed to be like this? Should I place those trashed items back in the folder?

Thanks

Ashley

PhotoKit Color 2 installs a folder called PG Toolbox plug-in module (which contains various components including PhotoKit Color 2) inside the Photoshop Plug-ins > Photoshop Only > Automate folder.

It sounds to me like you had PhotoKit Color 1 installed and when you deleted the folder you mentioned, you actually deleted the old PhotoKit Color 1 folder.

In fact there is no need to delete anything when you decided to purchase PhotoKit Color 2 after downloading the Demo version. When the demo version is installed, all you have to do is click on the Purchase button to initiate the purchase procedure.

If PhotoKit Color 2 is working fine for you there is nothing else to worry about.

Thanks Martin. That makes sense and I should have remembered version one...

I take it there is no real reason to keep version one installed though after the update.
