Output Sharpening: 288 PPI

Just curious.

Since 288 is one of the "better" resolutions for printing @ 2880 (evenly divisible), why is there no selection for it with output sharpening? Is it the ubiquity of the oft recommended 300 ppi? And is that "close enough" for use with a 288 ppi file?

Bruce and I argued about that when we designed Sharpener. . .he prevailed. The difference between 300ppi & 288ppi was not enough to demand two separate sharpeners. So, if your files are at 288ppi (native resolution) just use the 300ppi output sharpener.
